Russia is highlighting its leadership in missile technology as a key pillar of its partnership with India. Ambassador Denis Alipov celebrated the jointly produced BrahMos supersonic missile, adding that it is “soon-to-be hypersonic.”
This “shared achievement” was presented as a prime example of the “full technology-sharing” that has defined the 60-year defense relationship.
This success in missile technology is the foundation for a new, broader defense push. Alipov announced offers for the Su-57 fifth-generation fighter, drones, and advanced radar systems.
This high-tech pitch comes as a clear counter to US pressure over India’s “beneficial” Russian oil imports. After Donald Trump claimed the trade would stop, Russia is showcasing its irreplaceable value as a partner in developing cutting-edge offensive capabilities.
