Over 1.2 million students in the UAE have returned to school for the new academic year, greeted with words of encouragement from President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Emphasizing the crucial role of youth in the nation’s future, Sheikh Mohamed addressed students, teachers, school administrators, and parents through an audio message. He urged students to maintain a focus on continuous learning and to acquire future-ready skills, highlighting the importance of positively harnessing artificial intelligence and technology.

The President also emphasized the collaborative role of parents and teachers in fostering creativity, lifelong learning, and instilling a strong sense of national identity and values in students. His message comes as the UAE’s education sector resumes after a challenging previous academic year, with more than 1,180 public and private schools reopening their doors. The sector is witnessing expansion, with several new schools joining the educational landscape.

In a similar vein, Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum extended his welcome to the new academic year. He encouraged students to chase their ambitions and equip themselves with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the UAE’s future development.

These messages from the UAE’s leadership highlight a significant national emphasis on education as a cornerstone for the country’s progression. As the educational institutions reopen, they are not only marking a return to routine but also a renewed commitment to nurturing a generation capable of navigating and leading in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
