Residents in the United Arab Emirates should prepare for unsettled weather conditions this week, with rain and strong winds anticipated on Wednesday. Inland and mountainous areas are expected to experience wind speeds up to 50 km/h, while temperatures could soar to 41°C. The National Center of Meteorology predicts that these conditions might lead to reduced visibility due to blowing dust.
The weather will largely remain fair to partly cloudy, but convective clouds are likely to form over eastern areas before spreading to some inland and western regions during the afternoon. These clouds may bring rainfall as low-pressure systems move across the country. Winds will generally shift from southeast to northeast, reaching speeds of 10–25 km/h, but could intensify during cloud formation, reaching up to 35 km/h in coastal areas and islands.
On Thursday, further unsettled weather is expected, with clouds developing over eastern and western parts of the UAE, bringing another chance of rain. Winds might reach 40 km/h, again accompanied by occasional blowing dust. The forecast suggests temperatures will remain high, ranging between 35°C and 41°C inland, 34°C and 38°C along the coast, and 26°C and 32°C in mountainous regions.
Humidity levels are predicted to rise overnight and into Thursday morning, potentially reaching up to 90% in some areas. This increase could lead to mist or fog, particularly in coastal and inland locations. Sea conditions are expected to be slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman during this period.
As the week progresses, temperatures are expected to gradually decline over the weekend. Partly cloudy conditions will persist on Friday, with a chance of afternoon rain in eastern areas. Increasing humidity could result in fog or mist overnight and during the early hours of Saturday.
By Saturday, convective clouds may form over eastern and northern areas, while Sunday is expected to see generally fair to partly cloudy skies. The humid conditions are predicted to continue overnight into Monday morning, maintaining the possibility of fog or mist. The forecast highlights Wednesday and Thursday as the days with the highest likelihood of rainfall, followed by cooler temperatures and recurring fog or mist risks over the weekend.
