The United Arab Emirates is bracing for intense summer heat, with forecasts indicating temperatures could soar up to 48°C in the country’s inland regions. According to meteorologists, these sizzling conditions are expected to persist over the next few days, accompanied by generally clear skies and stable weather patterns.
Inland areas are predicted to endure extreme heat, with temperatures fluctuating between 44°C and 48°C on Friday. Meanwhile, coastal and island regions might experience slightly cooler highs, ranging from 36°C to 43°C. The mountainous areas are forecasted to see temperatures from 32°C to 39°C. Winds, primarily blowing from the southwest to northwest, will maintain speeds between 10 and 20kph, occasionally gusting up to 30kph. The seas in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain relatively calm.
The hot and mostly clear conditions are anticipated to extend into the weekend, with a possibility of low clouds forming over sections of the eastern coast on Saturday morning. Wind speeds may increase at times, potentially reaching 40kph. A slight dip in temperatures is projected for Sunday as northwesterly winds gain strength, potentially roughening the Arabian Gulf waters, while the Sea of Oman should continue to experience slight to moderate conditions.
As the early week unfolds, the weather is expected to remain similar on Monday and Tuesday, characterized by fair skies and sporadic morning clouds along the eastern coast. Occasional bursts of fresh winds are also predicted, with sea conditions likely to improve gradually as the week progresses.
Meteorologists note that the UAE is entering a phase of typical early-summer weather, marked by very hot daytime temperatures, clear skies, and generally stable atmospheric conditions. This seasonal pattern is expected to dominate the upcoming days, influencing both coastal and inland areas across the nation.
